Progress made on the Project

Intensive excavations under the direction of Lauro Olmo and Ricardo Izquierdo were carried out throughout 2008. More than seventy people are working on the project, maintaining and conserving the extensive dig site and doing painstaking analysis of individual plots.

The pictures below show the site as it was in September 2008 and some of the artefacts unearthed in the last few months of that year.
