As excavation work goes on across this large site, it may also be necessary to undertake conservation work on some zones already excavated to ensure their stabilisation and continued preservation.

It will be necessary to:

- determine what restoration may be necessary and how it should be carried out

- agree criteria for intervention with the archaeology and restoration teams
